Why we focus on empowering women and girls
Women and girls are driving forces in our society, yet they are often treated as second-class citizens or worse. And that needs to change.
Around the world, the experiences of women and girls are shaped by deep inequalities rooted in geography, culture, and socioeconomic status. Despite progress, far too many women still face barriers to education, healthcare, employment, and political participation. Gender-based violence, systemic discrimination, and restrictive cultural norms continue to limit their opportunities.
